We’ve been talking about this for years. After the Jackass Run from Vegas to Oatman, we have finally had enough of slow traffic in the inside lane and people driving and chitchatting side-by-side, while backing up things. So, Monday rolled around, and we went to work on a new t-shirt design to sell side-by-side with our other car shirts. We got it off of our chest, and we’re hoping to get it on yours. Tell what you think of the design. If it gets good response, we’ll send it to production and make it available on ReverClothing.com.

SIX BUCKS A GALLON http://reverspeak.com/blog/2008/08/30/six-bucks-a-gallon/ http://reverspeak.com/blog/2008/08/30/six-bucks-a-gallon/#comments Sun, 31 Aug 2008 02:11:49 +0000 Robert http://reverspeak.com/blog/?p=153 six bucks a gallon

Those of you familiar with my Pantera know of its distaste for pump gas. Anything less than 100 octane makes for grumpy driving, and embarrassing dieseling at shut-off. When the price went up to six bucks a gallon I started wondering if driving a car that only gets 8.5 mpg was a good idea.

In the end, I decided the cost of fuel doesn’t matter. With the price of video games at $60, I think my car still delivers a good entertainment value. But sometimes I envy you that have turbo fours and sixes.

Here is what I don’t understand… How come the price of gas has dropped considerably and I’M STILL PAYING SIX BUCKS A GALLON?

FROM THE TIRES UP http://reverspeak.com/blog/2008/05/01/from-the-tires-up-2/ http://reverspeak.com/blog/2008/05/01/from-the-tires-up-2/#comments Thu, 01 May 2008 21:54:56 +0000 Dan http://reverspeak.com/blog/?p=70 The guys at Rever Clothing aren’t just designing unique T-shirts; we’re matching up the love for everything horsepower and some great clothing, but putting shirts and hoodies on sale isn’t much of a release. Don’t get us wrong; what you wear is important. Everybody has his or her favorite shirt. Of course, we want that shirt to be a Rever, but we think there is nothing more cool than the cars that have inspired the Rever T-shirt designs. Exotics, imports, hot rods, roadsters and rat rods… We love cars from the tires up. The road trips, the rallies, the races… Ah, good times.

That is why Flying Pistons will report occasionally on our more memorable road trips and events. We’ll relive some great moments that center around our cars… strange landmarks, tow trucks, even a roadside diner review here and there. Expect the unfortunate—yet entertaining—tale of the occasional Ferrari catching fire in mid-trip. Expect to see extraordinary autos from all over the world. Expect to have a great time reading excellent commentary on cars and motors with a dose of shade tree philosophy. Then, we expect your comments to be just as entertaining as our posts. If you happen to find yourself shopping the T-shirts on ReverClothing.com, be sure to sign up for the newsletter. You’ll get an entertaining heads-up on what’s going on around here too.

So, contemplate your position on pushrods vs. overhead cams, while we prepare our debut story from the road.
